One thing I’ve learned over 29 years in journalism is that stories matter — and that telling them well matters, too.

It’s how we’re wired as human beings. Whether in the office or at home or after a ballgame, we communicate our thoughts and lives through stories. The better stories that we tell, the more people we tend to influence. And when your stories are true, clear and compelling … well, people listen.

That’s what I love to do—communicate clearly. I’ve written and edited for corporate clients, trade journals, newspapers and nonprofits. They all want one thing: to share a compelling message clearly.
